December 2016 | A long weekend just before Winter Break was an opportunity to travel to Tsavo and Cyulu Hills National Parks. In Tsvao, we stayed at the Kamboyo House. In Chyulu Hills, we drove 30kms into the park to the base of ‘Satellite Camp’, where we had amazing views of the hills around us as well as the plains beneath us.
All packed and ready to go.
We watched this massive elephant for a long time at the watering hole outside the house.

She was far an away the youngest person we encountered on the Mountain, perhaps by a decade. We were also the only people hiking without a guide, though we did get fairly lost once!
