We spent the first couple weeks of our summer (2014) in Australia. We started off with doctors appointments for Robyn in Sydney, where she got a preliminary diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. We spent the rest of the summer in Wisconsin, where her diagnosis was confirmed. Despite lots of doctors appointments, we managed to enjoy our summer in Madison.
We did a couple of three day bike and camping trips from Madison, going first to Mt Horeb and then to New Glarus, where we of course visited the eponymous brewery (yum!).
Zoë and I also fit in a five day hiking trip in the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (beautiful!) and a one day canoeing trip with neighbours.
On the first of August we were off to Kenya. We are loving it! It is beautiful and the people are wonderful. So far we’ve spent most of our time in Nairobi, where we have been exploring the city. We’ve made it out of town one time to Lake Naivasha, which was both very close and very beautiful.
